After a hit live concert and screening of Star Wars IV: A New Hope last summer, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra continues to use the force. It's presenting new performances of John Williams's score for Episode V:The Empire Strikes Back this July 4, 5, and 6 at the Orpheum.

In the announcement today, the VSO said tickets for this latest installment of The Star Wars: Film Concert Series would go on sale today at 8 p.m.

Not only is The Empire arguably the best in the ever-growing Star Wars bunch (anyone want to argue?), its score is right up there with Episode IV's. Composed by Williams, who conducted the London Symphony Orchestra for the recording, it earned him an Academy Award nomination.

Suffice it to say that watching the film in the Orpheum, which was original old movie palace, to the booming symphonic music live, is a force-ful experience. Don't forget your light sabre.
