      (Community announcement by Upintheair Theatre)

A thousand dollars cash, 4 audience members, and limitless possibilities. A confrontation with erotic truths. A comedy about being watched. A multimedia exploration of body autonomy and non-binary identity in a dystopian Japan. A comedy walking tour of Vancouver’s most “haunted” locations. This and more at Upintheair Theatre’s rEvolver Festival, Vancouver’s festival of independent theatre at The Cultch, bringing together a vibrant collection of performance created by the new wave of local and national theatre artists.

This 11-day festival will focus on presenting new works by emerging to early mid career artists. With nine main stage productions in its line-up, the festival also includes three site-specific experiences, three companion events and one offsite show. Featuring an eclectic collection of artists and characters with productions and events that will make audiences think, laugh, delight, and at times cringe—and provide a platform for reflections on contemporary concerns.
