Dancing on the Edge unveils roster ahead of June 1 ticket sales

      More than 20 choreographers and companies from here and as far away as Brazil and Korea are set to take the stage for the 31st annual Dancing on the Edge festival.

      The contemporary-dance fest unveiled its lineup for the event that will run July 4 to 13 at its homebase at the Firehall Arts Centre, as well as SFU Woodward's and a few site-specific locations. Tickets go on sale June 1.

      Among the local acts appearing this year are Ziyian Kwan, Tara Cheyenne Performance, Rachel Meyer, MascallDance, Kirsten Wicklund, Alejandra Miranda Caballero, Mahaila Patterson-O'Brien, Meredith Kalaman, Helen Walkley, WAREHAUS dance collective, Sujit Vaidya, Tomoyo Yamada, Jennifer McLeish-Lewis, Isabelle Kirouac & Nayana Fielkov, Alexandra Clancy, Shelley Cox, and Raven Spirit Dance.

      From Brazil, look for Paulo Lima/Experimentus Cia De Danca-Ceara, and returning from Korea, Dab Dance Project. Montreal's Danse Carpe Diem a will also be hitting the fest.

      Isabelle Kirouac & Nayana Fielkov carry on DOE's tradition of site-specific work.
