The team behind the Vancouver Mural Festival has announced the lineup for its third annual Strathcona Street Party on June 22, noon to 9 p.m.

In the blocks around 882 East Cordova and Campbell streets, look for art, music, food trucks, and family-friendly all-ages craft beer gardens by Vancouver Craft Beer Week and the Strathcona Beer Company.  There, artists will be holding live painting stations, a mural battle, and interactive art workshops while unveiling nine new murals in the area.

Along with DJs and the return of the Oasis Lounge by Public Disco, the free event will also feature turntable lessons for kids by Table Tutors, and dance battles by Vancouver Street Dance Festival.

Run by the Create Vancouver Society in partnership with Low Tide Properties and the Strathcona Business Improvement Association, the street party will have a Community Market featuring local independent businesses and artisans. There will also be chances to learn about local groups like the Raycam Cooperative Centre, Atira Women's Resource Society, and Watari Counselling & Support Services. Also check out a cake walk and Concrete Park by Raycam Renew.

The Vancouver Mural Festival itself happens August 1 to 10 in nearby Mount Pleasant.
