An exciting outdoor celebration returns to the North Shore next month, and it’s worth trekking across the waters for.

The 29th annual Harmony Arts Festival takes place from August 2 to 11, along the breezy waterfront on Argyle Avenue from 14th to 16th Street.

The family-friendly fete will highlight more than 150 free happenings, including arts exhibitions, musical performances, a new night market, and many culinary events.

This year’s concert line-up will feature 50-plus performances, spotlighting talents such as country trio the Heels, CBC Music regular Desirée Dawson, and Juno award-winning folk-rock band the Paperboys, among others.

Free films will take place during Cinema in the Park at the John Lawson Stage, where attendees will be able to catch blockbusters like Crazy Rich Asians, the Incredibles 2, Green Book, Free Solo, Black Panther, and more.

One of the new attractions this year is the addition of North Shore Nights: a night market presented with Refresh Market from August 6 to 8 (4 to 9 p.m.). Roam through artisan vendors selling handmade and curated goods like art, jewelry, and houseware items.

The food schedule is also jam packed—think food trucks, cocktail soiree, Indigenous Feast, and more. Festival-goers won’t leave hungry or thirsty. Read more about the Indigenous Feast here
