(Community announcement by Vines Art Festival)

A community-driven event featuring grassroots land protectors, visual and performing artists, eco-conscious community leaders, storytellers, and more, Vines celebrates the stunning Coast Salish land by making it an essential part of each performance. It's a multi-disciplinary eco-arts and land justice festival that will let you experience visual and performing arts as you never have before.

Join us for events like The Opening Ceremony on August 7, an evening of dance, music, and wisdom in beautiful Jericho Beach Park, or Breaking Borders at Creekside Park on August 15, featuring art and music, as well as theatrical performances exploring migration, diaspora, and border violence from the perspectives of newcomers to Canada. Our biggest event, Vines: The Wood5 Anniversary, takes place at Trout Lake on August 17. This stellar community event features over 80 grassroots artists from across creative disciplines.

Vines Art Festival runs from August 7-18 in various parks across the city to bring art to as many communities as possible. All Vines Art Festival events are free to attend.
