An East Vancouver hub of creativity has been damaged by fire and has suffered water damage.
The early-morning, two-alarm blaze at 1000 Parker Street also left one firefighter injured, according to Chief Darrell Reid.
There's no word on the condition of the firefigher or the building.
The blaze was put out quickly.
The giant warehouse at 1000 Parker Street is the site of many artists' studios.
The building is a popular stop along the annual Eastside Culture Crawl every fall.
The annual Parker Art Salon is also a well-attended event at the warehouse.
In 2016, the Straight published a series of photographs by Amanda Siebert showing various studios.
