As Frank Zappa once said: "So many books, so little time..."
Running from October 18 to 24, the Vancouver Writers Fest’s latest edition brings a signature mix of fast-emerging and big-name authors.
The packed program features readings, workshops, and performances, including a full menu geared to young readers, not to mention a series of hope-oriented events on some of the biggest issues in the news.
Like with his previous Pulitzer Prize–winning book, Overstory, which was about humans’ relationship with nature, Powers includes a great deal of scientific information in his new novel.
“In a year when our worlds became so small, and doorways closed, it was through art, music, and books that many of us found new pathways," says Vancouver Writers Fest executive director Leslie Hurtig.
