Start your new year with a laugh at Vancity Comedy Extravaganza Vol. 2

      As novelty sunglass manufacturers start sending out their 2020 themed sunglasses, Dino Archie along with Donnelly Group have been busy rounding up some comedic heavy hitters for their January 4th Vogue Theatre show, Vancity Comedy Extravaganza Vol. 2. They've even brought back some Canadian comedy talent who have mostly left Canada to further their careers in the United States.

      This second installment of the Vancity Comedy Extravaganza will feature Gavin Matts, Yumi Nagashima, Dave MerhejeIvan Decker, Archie plus a special guest (to be announced). This group of comedians has been working hard, honing thier comedy craft for years and will come together for a night of hialrous standup.

      Matts has been working hard down in the States since his Top Comic win, back in 2017. He has made an appearance on Conan, been to Just For Laughs in Montreal, as well as touring around California, New York with stops in between.

      Toronto comedian Merheje has also moved to California after his 2019 JUNO award win for Comedy Album of the Year. He has been on Netflix comedy special Beautifully Manic as part of Comedians of the World, had a recurring role on CBC’s Mr. D, was a finalist for NBC’s Stand-up for Diversity Search, and more.

      Nagashima from Japan resides in Vancouver and has made a big splash on the scene in 3 short years. She has been on Amazon Prime’s The Man in the High Castle, CBC radio, The Debaters, CBC TV at the 2019 Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and has released her debut comedy album My Name is Yumi in 2019.

      Decker is another comedian to leave Vancouver to LaLa Land. He won a JUNO award for Comedy Album of the Year in 2018, appeared on Conan, Netflix's Comedians of the World, had numerous television performances filmed at the Just for Laughs Montreal festival, the Winnipeg and Halifax Comedy festivals for CBC Television and can be heard across North-America on Sirius XM radio.

      Archie who has kept one foot in L.A and one foot in Vancouver was winner of the 36th annual international Seattle comedy competition. He has appeared on season 3 of Adam Devine’s House Party on comedy central, and followed up with his network debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

      You don't need any more reason to go see this show. So, after you survive your hangover put on your pants, get ready for a comedy show with some of Canada's best.
