Today, we celebrate the late Bill Reid’s 100th birthday. Reid was a pivotal force in introducing the world to the great art traditions of the Northwest Coast. He continues to inspire thousands of people everyday in galleries, museums and public spaces across Canada and beyond.
The Bill Reid Gallery honours Bill Reid’s legacy by exhibiting his work and the work of Indigenous artists from the Northwest Coast. Today in honour of Bill Reid, we invite you to visit the Bill Reid Gallery and bring a friend, family member or neighbour to help us honour Bill Reid’s wish of bringing people of all backgrounds together through art.
