It’s the DIY comedy feel-good story of the season: The Weather Permitting Comedy Tour featuring three no-name Toronto standup comics who, thanks to a generous sponsor, decided to set out across Canada on a 50-show trek hitting such hotspots as Moosomin, North Battleford, Clinton and… Vancouver. “Why wait for someone to tie your shoe when you can pull yourself up by your own bootstraps?” says the independent-minded Michael Flamank. Along with Michelle Christine and Andrew Barr, he’ll get up-close and personal with the laughs on a stop at Café Deux Soleils on Friday (December 12)­—weather permitting, of course.
