From November 2 to 4, Ballet BC presents Program 1 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (630 Hamilton Street).
The local ballet company will be opening its 32nd anniversary season with an evening of visual storytelling by celebrated dance artists Cayetano Soto and Johan Inger.
The season begins with the world premiere of Eight Years of Silence, a new one-act work by Ballet BC resident choreographer Cayetano Soto, and the North American debut of Swedish-born choreographer Johan Inger's B.R.I.S.A.
In a press release, Ballet BC artistic director Emily Molnar said that "dance at its best is transformational. It can transform a ciity, a room, a person, a way of seeing things. Our commitment to developing dance and art is a clear manifestation of our unique conversation with all of you-our community."
