The 2018 Capture Photography Festival and the City of New Westminster are seeking submissions for a public art project.

This year's theme is “Play”, and artists who are interested in submitting proposals are being asked to consider elements that could play on colour, abstraction, vibrancy, and community wellness.

The public art project, which will be in the form of a temporary, large-scale photo installation, will be installed on the Sapperton Park chain link fence wall (351 East Columbia Street, New Westminster).

A five member selection panel will review all artist submissions, and the artist or artist team who is chosen to display their work will receive a fee of $3,000 to produce one or more print-ready digital artwork files.

The submission deadline is December 28 at 4:30 p.m.; adjudication will take place in early January 2018, and the successful artist or artist team will be notified in late January/early February 2018.
