Carousel Theatre for Young People has announced new artistic leadership and management.

The Granville Island-based company--which empowers young people through playful, imaginative, and accessible theatre experiences--is welcoming Jennica Grienke and Dave Deveau to the roles of co-artistic and managing directors.

Grienke has worked as an actor, producer, and director, and spent four years as an artistic associate at Saskatoon's Persephone Theatre, while Deveau is a playwright and producer who also serves as associate artistic-director at Vancouver's Zee Zee Theatre.

"TYA truly runs in our blood," reads a message from Grienke and Deveau on the CTYA website, "and we cannot wait to bring the relationships we have with fellow TYA companies across Canada and the world to Carousel.

"Even in these immensely challenging and ever-changing times, we are dedicated to ensuring young people experience transformative live artistic work as we create meaningful connections and build genuine relationships."
