Children's Theatre of Richmond has announced that it will be presenting the first-ever all-youth production of Cats.

Based on T.S. Eliot's 1939 poetry collection Old Possum’s Book Of Practical Cats, and with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, CATS: Young Actors Edition will be performed from July 29 to August 7 at PAL Studio Theatre.

"The family-friendly show is for everyone to take a break from reality and experience the cats’ world and share their emotions," says Children's Theatre of Richmond founder Lily Yuan in a news release, "their joy, contentment, upset, or feelings of loss."

Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of the Really Useful Group, the one-hour show will be directed by Mark Carter, with musical direction by Jeremy Hoffman and choreography by Ken Overbey.

Tickets for the show are priced from $20.50 to $27.50 (plus service charge) and you can find them here.
