As part of The Dance Centre's Global Dance Connections series, Joshua Beamish will be featured in a collection of short dance works streamed from February 25 to March 11.

 

"Joshua Beamish is a British Columbia dance artist who has achieved worldwide success as a prolific choreographer and an exceptional performer," reads the event info, "this is a chance to see both aspects of his work. The performance features two of his creations: the world premiere of a new solo danced by Renée Sigouin, and Proximity, a duet performed by Beamish and Sigouin.

 

"Beamish also dances in two solos choreographed for him: Redemption, by internationally-acclaimed Belgian-Colombian choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, and Ablaze Amongst the Fragments of Your Sky by Ballet BC’s Kirsten Wicklund. Falling Upward, a dance film created by Beamish with Scott Fowler and Stefan Nazarevich, completes the program."
