Dancing on the Edge to return for its 35th year from July 6-15

      1. The Dancing on the Edge Festival has announced details for 2023, with a mix of indoor and outdoor performances featuring both local and international talent taking place from July 6-15.

      Full length works marking the 35th edition of the event will include Compaigni V’ni Dansi Society choreographer Yvonne Chartrand’s La Mitchin di Mitchif at the Firehall Arts Centre, Emmalena Fredriksson’s Ecdysis & Soft Palate at SFU Woodward’s, and Sarah Chase’s The door opened west at the Scotiabank Dance Centre.

      Over 30 performances, including world premieres, North American debuts, and works in progress, will take place over the festival’s run. Joining iconic West Coast companies like Kokoro Dance, MascallDance, and Wen Wei Dance will be companies from Alberta, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Ontario.

      Single tickets, Edge passes, and an all-new DOTE Festival four-pack ($89) go on sale on June 5. The full festival schedule, along with dates will be announced in June here
