The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver has announced that it will be presenting an outdoor celebration of Israeli culture on May 15.

The Festival of Israeli Culture's Outdoor Sunday will feature music, dance, art, and food from 11 am to 6 pm.

Headlining the event with a mix of folk, roots, and R&B music will be the Sam Rocha Trio. Also performing will be vocalist Andrea Superstein and Perry Erlich’s energetic GLEE troupe, ShowStoppers.

Vendors will offer everything from handmade jewellery to home decor to fashion; kids activities will include mini-golf, a scavenger hunt, and a Muppets performance.

Local food trucks and restaurants will offer a wide variety of eats, including authentic falafel, hummus, and baba ghanoush.

All events are free of charge, but food donations to the Jewish Food Bank are encouraged.
