Indigenous cellist and composer Cris Derksen will give an online performance this Wednesday (November 18) as part of the UBC School of Music's Wednesday Noon Hours series.

According to the event info on the UBC Music website, "Derksen braids the traditional and contemporary, weaving her classical background and her Indigenous ancestry together with new school electronics to create genre-defying music."

The performance is a collaboration between the UBC School of Music, Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery, and the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts as part of Soundings: An Exhibition in Five Parts, and you can stream it here.
