The B.C. Alliance for Arts and Culture and SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs are copresenting a virtual arts discussion tomorrow (November 26) titled Creating a Culture of Well-Being.

The second event in the two-part Why Art? Why Now? series of online conversations between artists and experts, it will feature Judith Marcuse--whose career spans over five decades as a dancer, choreographer, director, producer, educator, consultant, writer, and lecturer--and Arlene Goldbard, a writer, speaker, social activist, and consultant known for her ability to inspire and activate.

"In this session, Judith and Arlene will explore how artists are making work that advances well-being," reads the event info on the B.C. Alliance for Arts & Culture website. "Some address conditions that cause illness. Some expand our understanding of well-being and awareness of the rights of the vulnerable. Some focus on arts-based treatment to overcome illness. Join us to envision a culture of health and consider how artists can be key to bringing that vision to life."

Creating a Culture of Well-Being takes place at 2 pm Pacific Time via Zoom, and you can register here.
