MOA's Sound House returns to mark Orange Shirt Day

      The Museum of Anthropology at UBC launches the third season of its Sound House series with a night of poetry, hip-hop, and spoken-word to mark Orange Shirt Day (aka the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation).

      The event on September 30 will feature performances by Cree poet Dallas Hunt, Coast Salish hip-hop artist Keliya, and Łutselkʼe Dene, Plains Cree spoken-word artist Tawahum Bige.

      The event will open with a commemorative orange-lantern procession in honour of residential school survivors, and proceeds will support the Indian Residential School Survivors Society.
