UBC School of Music announces eight online concerts

      UBC School of Music has announced eight online concerts streamed live from the Chan Centre as part of its Wednesday Noon Hours series.

      Kicking off the series are oboist Roger Cole and pianist Terence Dawson performing works by Telemann, Schumann, Poulenc, and Rachmaninoff on January 20.

      Violinist David Lakirovich and pianist Michelle Mares perform works by Mozart and Brahms on January 27.

      Elysian Trio

      The Elysian Trio (flutist Paul Hung, violist Sarah Kwok, and harpist Vivian Chen) performs works by Debussy, Bennett, Opatril, Kelly, Wong and Al-Zand on February 3.

      The Microcosmos Quartet, with pianist Corey Hamm, performs works by Ades on February 10.

      Tenor J. Patrick Raftery, horn player Valerie Whitney, and pianist Richard Epp perform works by Schubert, Strauss, Greer, and Madsen on February 24.

      Pianist Miranda Wong performs works by Schumann, Weber, Respighi, Ravel, and Granados on March 3.

      Soprano Melody Courage and pianist Tina Chang perform on March 10.

      Trassoff and Matharu

      Sarode player David Trasoff and tabla player Sunny Matharu perform Hindustani classical music on March 17.

      Clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester, cellist Antonio Lysy, and pianist Jane Coop perform works by Beethoven and Brahms on March 24.
