Vancity is inviting its boarded-up business clients to hook up with local artists and beautify the city's streets during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a sponsor of the Vancouver Mural Festival, it's already helped support 40 muralists through the #MakeArtWhileApart project.

Now it's looking to paint the town further. It's inviting members to fill out an online form here, with the chance to have artists provided free of charge to the business member, transforming storefronts while they're closed.

The project is meant as a way to provide income to artists during shutdown, while beautifying empty cityscapes and providing hope for small businesses to thrive again.

Meanwhile, you can virtually tour many of the murals that have been popping up around downtown as part of #MakeArtWhileApart on the VMF's Instagram site.
