The Vancouver Public Library's 16th writer in residence, Lindsay Wong, launches her residency at a gathering of Asian-Canadian authors this Thursday (June 10).

Wong, author of the darkly comedic memoir The Woo-Woo: How I Survived Ice Hockey, Drug Raids, Demons, and My Crazy Chinese Family, will be joined by Doretta Lau (How Does A Single Blade of Grass Thank the Sun?), Jen Sookfong Lee (The Shadow List), and Roselle Lim (Vanessa Yu's Magical Paris Tea Shop).

The panel will share work from their latest books and discuss Asian representation in Canadian literature, exploring such topics as what it means to create art amidst a global crisis, and escalating anti-Asian sentiment.

The free Zoom event takes place at 7 p.m. Pacific time and you can learn more here.
