The VSO returns to the Orpheum on September 18

      Vancouver classical music fans need to keep September 18 open.

      That's when Maestro Otto Tausk and the full Vancouver Symphony Orchestra will take music lovers on an emotional journey of return to the historic Orpheum Theatre. 

      "With celebration, meditation, an eye to the future, and nod to our past, we open a season like no other with this very special gala performance," reads the event info on the VSO website.

      The 120-minute program will include Dinuk Wijeratne's Yatra, Beethoven's Fidelio Overture, Berlioz' Symphonie fantastique: Un Bal, Massenet's Meditation from Thaïs, Barbara Croall's Innenohr, Dvořák's Slavonic Dances Op.72 No.2 & 7, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5.

      Tickets for the event are priced from $50 to $90 (back balcony), $60 to $125 (back orchestra), $60 to $155 (front orchestra), and $72 to $190 (front balcony), and you can find them here.
