The Georgia Straight presents Kate Nash at Electric Owl

Live Nation has announced that London-based indie-pop singer-songwriter Kate Nash will perform a show at Electric Owl on Tuesday, May 14, in support of her upcoming album Girl Talk.

Born and raised in London, the 20-something Nash considered a career as an actor before a broken leg left her housebound. To alleviate the young singer's boredom, her mother brought home an electric guitar, and songwriting became her obsession. She released her smash debut Made of Bricks in 2008, and has been on a whirwind rise to fame ever since.

Tickets for the shows are priced at $20 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (February 8) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets are also available for purchase by phone at 1-888-222-6608, and at Red Cat Records.
