Happy 100th birthday, Auric Goldfinger

Arguably the most memorable of all Bond villains, Gert Fröbe aka Auric Goldfinger is 100 years young today (February 25). Or he would have been if he wasn't sucked out of the window of a Lockheed Jetstar at the end of the 1964 film, which was made back when there were no special effects and everything you saw was real.

In both celebration and memoriam, let's listen to Shirley Bassey sing the classic title song one more time, since her performance at the 2013 Oscars ceremony yesterday was the clear highlight of a long and, um, variable night.
