John Mayer has announced a summer tour, which will criss-cross North America and dip into South America for dates in Brazil and Argentina.

The singer has been struggling with throat problems since late 2011. This is his first tour in three years, in support of the 2012 release Born and Raised.

He will only be playing one Canadian date, at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto on August 14. However, if you are desperate to see Mayer and can't justify the plane ticket out east, you can catch one of his West Coast shows listed below :

July 19 -- Ridgefield, WA  (Sleep Country Amphitheater)

July 20 -- George, WA   (The Gorge)

July 22 -- Paso Robles, CA  (California Mid State Fair)

July 24 -- Wheatland, CA  (Sleep Train Amphitheatre at Sacramento)

July 26 -- Mountain View, CA  (Shoreline Amphitheatre)

July 27 -- Irvine, CA   (Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Irvine)

Oct. 4 -- San Diego, CA  (Sleep Train Amphitheatre)

Oct. 5 -- Los Angeles, CA  (Hollywood Bowl)
