Will you bike to vote on May 14?
Many of us have participated in Bike to Work Week. Now a new Twitter account is encouraging British Columbians to ride their bikes to their polling stations come provincial election day.
I think the people behind @biketovote are on to something.
Riding a bike is easy, fun, fast, and convenient! What would it take for you to #BikeToVote on May 14th? #BCpoli

As the Straight reported earlier this month, the B.C. Cycling Coalition wants the provincial government to invest $300 million over four years in cycling infrastructure. These projects would make biking to work, for exercise, and for fun more convenient, enjoyable, and safer for many cyclists.
Let's say #BikeToVote catches on and polling stations become a bike thief's paradise. Wouldn't that send a message to our politicians?
If not, at least you'd have a cast ballot and a nice bike ride (if it's not raining) to show for your helmet head.
