Mining activist tells Barrick Gold its corporate social responsibility is BS

Sakura Saunders, the editor of ProtestBarrick.net, attended the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada's recent convention in Toronto.

Rather than just listen to Barrick Gold CEO Jamie Sokalsky drone on about his company's efforts on the corporate social responsibility front, the mining activist stepped up to the microphone and highlighted the human rights situations at a few of Barrick's mines.

As she was escorted out by security, Saunders handed out fact sheets to the audience.
