Tea Sparrow brings gourmet tea to your doorstep

Recently, I became acquainted with Tea Sparrow, an Internet-based company that operates a tea-of-the-month club.

A typical subscription will run you about $20 per month. Upon registration, each month you receive a box of four different blends of loose-leaf teas. Each box will make between 25 and 30 cups of tea and is comprised of a selection of both herbal and caffeinated teas.

If signing up for a club sounds a little intimidating, remember that you can pause and restart your membership at any time, so no worries if you travel frequently or change your mind.

In my tea sampler, I got to try out Jasmine Pearls, Earl Grey Supreme, Chamomile Citrus, and Blueberry Rooibos. Although each tea was savoured in its own right, my clear favourite was the Blueberry Rooibos, which was sweet enough naturally that no additional sweetener was needed.

Not a bad indulgence for $20 a pop.

$20 seems like a lot for less than 4oz tea. Looking at the teas, they don't seem to be super fancy or anything (Blueberry Rooibos? Chamomile Citrus? sounds like I can get them from David's Tea or a local store for a lot cheaper).
