Live Nation has announced that American folk-rock singer-songwriter Patty Griffin will perform an all-ages show at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, June 18, at 8 p.m. in support of her seventh studio album, American Kid.

American Kid is Griffin's first album of mainly new material since 2007's acclaimed Children Running Through, and although she has lived and recorded in Austin throughout her career, it is also her first solidly Americana album.

Written to honour her father, American Kid features powerful, personal, and unpredictable songs arranged and performed in a style that doesn’t entirely repeat anything  she’s done on her previous albums while drawing on all of them.

Tickets for the show are priced at $25 & $35 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (May 10) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets are also available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000 and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
