Megadeth's Dave Mustaine calls concertgoer "f*ggot", says: "You look like Eminem, you stupid c*nt."

It's common knowledge that Dave Mustaine is quite the right-wing dickhead, but he outdid himself last night at a gig in Manchester, England.

As seen in this fan-shot video, the Megadeth leader (and Rick Santorum supporter) went to town on a concertgoer who'd apparently booed him after the band had left the stage for 10 minutes while a lighting issue was being dealt with.

When the group returned, the "fan" displayed his unhappiness about the interruption, leading Mustaine to make the keen observation: "You look like Eminem, you stupid cunt."

After explaining to the crowd that the technical adjustments were necessary for its enjoyment of the show, Mustaine again projected the full power of his assholiness at the fan.

"Get the fuck out of here!", he hollered. "Get this guy out of here! You blonde bitch. C'mon up here. I've got a big cock for your face. [Making kissing sounds.] Here he comes… Stick that finger right up your ass, you little faggot."

Mustaine brings his heartfelt message of peace, love, and understanding to Abbotsford on July 29 when Megadeth joins Black Label Society, Device, Hellyeah, Newsted, and Death Division on the Gigantour show.

Here's hoping he prepares for that gig with marathon listening sessions involving Frank Zappa's Shut Up 'n Play Yer GuitarShut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar Some More, and Return of the Son of Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar

He must be pretty comfortable to bite the hand that feeds him. What an asswipe.

So, being right-wing makes him a "dickhead"? Makes you sounds pretty intolerant too.

Mike, he supports Rick Santorum and called a fan a faggot. I think that covers both being right-wing and being a dickhead. Plus, how big of a shitbag do you have to be to get kicked out of Metallica?

Fans who act like that deserve what Dave gave to him. They ruin things for everyone. I wouldn't want that guy as a fan. People like that aren't worth the money.

Outrageousness is rock and roll. That it's also often ugly, not-classy and embarrassingly stupid doesn't make it any less rock and roll. Saying provocative, insulting and off-colour things is not cool, no, unless you think it is. He didn't say anything any self-respecting Sex Pistol might have uttered, and those guys weren't right wing dickheads.

I wonder what kind of nasty language has been used on and off stage by rockers of every stripe, before the world began capturing every moment on some electronic device. You don't suppose a Dead Milkman, Ratt, Runaway or Strangler might have gotten away with something every bit as egregious before cell phones became ubiquitous, huh?

Alls I'm sayin' is let rockers be dumb, since it's part of the game. I mean, I'm about as into Mustaine, his band and that type of music as a bird is into cats, but I think this is non-news.

MK, you miss my point. I'm not arguing that Mustaine isn't a dickhead. I have met him and I too think he is a dickhead. Just saying that being right wing in and of itself does not make one a dickhead. Couldn't help but notice the irony of a writer poking at one person's intolerant language ("faggot") while expressing intolerance himself within the same article.

I would say that if this was Elton John that made the comments you would not have spun the commentary the same way. That guy was disrespecting the fans at the show by being belligerent and deserved what he got. Lighten up.
