Police are investigating after an Ontario mother received an extra-special gift with purchase—a vacuum-sealed bag full of marijuana.

Monica Milewska told CP24 News that she was helping her son open the box for a $5 Angry Birds Telepod game that she bought at the Brampton Target when she found the 85-gram bag of pot.

Target Canada, which recently announced it was ending operations in our fair country, is currently liquidating all of its stock in stores across the country.

Of course, with the proliferation of cannabis dispensaries in Vancouver, perhaps the retailer should be leaning into this highly profitable market?

Peel Regional Police estimate the weed is worth between $800 and $850, or about $600 in West Coast prices.

Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to contact Peel Crime Stoppers, although the criminal has likely already learned a very stupid lesson.
