Elections B.C. says it will be mailing out the voting packages for the Metro Vancouver transportation and transit plebiscite between March 16 and March 27.

Over 1.56 million registered voters in the region are set to receive them.

If you don't get one, you have until May 15 to request a voting package (call 1-800-661-8683 or go to elections.bc.ca/ovr).

Eligible voters include Canadian citizens who are 18 years of age of older and have lived in B.C. for at least six months (on or before May 29), registered to vote in B.C., and living in Metro Vancouver.

Ballots must be received by Elections B.C. by 8 p.m. on May 29.

They can be mailed or dropped off at nine plebiscite service offices.

While the results won't be known until June, Elections B.C. will start posting weekly totals of the ballot packages received on April 1.
