Artists wanted for dutil. Denim's art show

A Vancouver clothing store is celebrating the relationship between art and denim. Gastown’s dutil. Denim (303 West Cordova Stret) is calling on Vancouver-based artists to enter their Denim Art show.

Ten artists will be selected and asked to repurpose a maximum of three pairs of jeans into a single work of art. Artists can create whatever they want, but will need to supply all other materials used. The only catch—the final piece must be non-wearable.

In mid-October, the artwork will be previewed at an art opening and raffle event at dutil. Denim—with proceeds from the raffle divided amongst participating artists—and the pieces will continue to be displayed at the store afterwards.

To be considered for the project, artists over the age of 18 are asked to submit their full name, city of residence, contact information, and a website link or photo attachment of their work to dutil@dutildenim.com by September 15.
