Caption the Political Photo: Stephen Harper visits a salmon stream in Port Moody

    1 of 2 2 of 2

Caption the Political Photo is back!

Today's image from the Prime Minister's Office comes with the following boring cutline: "Prime Minister Stephen Harper joins local children in releasing salmon into the creek during his visit to the Mossom Creek Hatchery."

Let's liven things up a bit.

Hopefully, you remember how our photo caption contest works. If you were Stephen Harper or one of the kids, what would you be saying in this picture?

Tell us in the comments section below or on our Facebook page. We'll repost the photo tomorrow (April 8) using our favourite submission.

      Caption away!

Update (April 8): We have a winner. Actually, two winners. Thanks to John M in the comments and Ryan Mooney on Facebook for supplying the captions.

You know what's ironic kids? My government is responsible for gutting environmental protection on many streams and rivers just like this.

If a pipeline needs to go through here, I'd be ok with that.

"You see kids, if I can distract everybody long enough and we can get re-elected, I can get all the bitumen pipelines through and we can then expand tar sands production. Don't worry kids the fish, the air, and the climate will all be just fine. Trust me. I have your best interests at heart. Just look at my environmental record. I'm on your side".

"You are right kids that a lot of non-partisan volunteer work went into this place, but James Moore says to me 'let's just throw a bit of money at it and we'll make it look like we cared and we'll take credit for it' and I says, damn James you are a master at this fake caring thing".
