BC Children's Hospital Foundation announced on May 1 that their new spokesperson is none other than entertainer Jennifer Lopez.

J.Lo is lending her glow to a campaign entitled Put Your Money Where the Miracles Are.

Lopez, who is the mother of twins, joined the Children's Miracle Network, which raises awareness and funds for 170 North American children's hospitals. She has been a longtime supporter of children's hospitals through her own Lopez Family Foundation.

She is CMN's first national celebrity spokesperson. CMN was founded by entertainers Marie Osmond and John Schneider in 1983.

Jenny from the block, wearing not only the rocks that's she's got but a yellow Miracle Band, appears in a new public service announcement asking people to donate to BC Children's Hospital through the Children's Miracle Network.

The BC Children's Hospital Foundation is a registered B.C. society and registered Canadian charity. Funds donated to the BC Children's Hospital Foundation are used to support BC Children's Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children, and the Child & Family Research Institute.

I am curious as to why we have a person who is not Canadian and a super celebrity posing as the spokesperson for B.C. Children's Hospital. I would find it hard for this to be done without an enormous fee. Why wouldn't some Canadian Celeb do it. People are going to donate to this cause WITHOUT BC Children's Hospital having pay an out-of -site fee for Jenifer Lopez. I take this all back if she's doing it for free, but would still rather see a Canadian..........

I think it's great that she's involved with the foundation also wouldn't people be surprised to see a international celebrity be a supporter to B.c. Children's hospital.

Does the Foundation pay J.L. to be their Spokesperson?

Can't believe J Lo did this for free being the Diva she is said to be. Hospital must disclose how much she got paid or for me commercial is worthless

If Jennifer Lopez is spokesperson for free, thanks to her!
If she is paid by BCCHF, then I hesitate to keep donating. We have Sarah McLaughlin, Michael Buble, and Sports Celebrities that deserve the honour of being spokesperson and would be more likely donate their time to do it.

Nice of Ms. Lopez to lend her support to this cause but when she holds up her land in the commercial to draw attention to the bracelet, it's lost on you because the first thing your eyes are drawn to is her multiple rings. Whoever edited this commercial totally fell down on the job and Ms. Lopez should have been cognizant of downplaying her accessories as well.

I just saw this ad on TV and am outraged!! I won't take ANY charity seriously while its spokesman is wearing fingers full of diamond rings (3) as well as errings then asking the public to donate.

If Ms. Lopez had done the commercial for free I am sure it would have been published as a magnanimous gesture.
