A cook from Surrey will be heading into the MasterChef Canada season finale, with a chance to win the $100,000 cash prize and MasterChef Canada title.

Surrey concrete contractor David Jorge is up against Moncton, New Brunswick, computer specialist Line Pelletier.

Vancouver recording artist Cody Karey, who had been previously eliminated but won a spot back in the kitchen and made it into the top five finalists, was eliminated again in the 100-mile challenge at a vineyard in Niagara, Ontario, for using up too much prep time for a wall-eye dish.

Meanwhile, Montreal office manager Sabrina Poirier was also eliminated in a pressure test, for her inconsistent white chocolate crème brûlée and slightly dry dark-chocolate brownie.

The final episode airs on Sunday (May 24) on CTV at 8 p.m. PT.

It is a very tough choice. David has the innovative touch and Line has her creativity and tenacity. I will be on the edge of my seat.
