The Vancouver Pride Society is working hard to make Pride events accessible for everyone, including the blind and deaf.

What's more, if you want to celebrate Pride in a substance-free environment, there's a party just for you.

Clean Sober and Proud, a group of Pride revelers who live clean, sober, and proud, are holding this year's Unintoxicated event on August 2 from 7 p.m. to midnight in the Davie Village Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot (1125 Davie Street).

Clean Sober and Proud, hosted by the non-profit drug and alcohol addiction treatment centre Last Door, launched in 2008 and has grown to present floats in the parade and community outreach booths at the Pride festival.

Unintoxicated is presented by Last Door and the Vancouver Pride Society.

This year's headlining entertainer will be Alaska Thunderf#ck 5000, who competed the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Other entertainers include Crystal Clearly, Celestial Seasons, Cadence Winter Matthews, Cinnamon Winters Alma Bitches, Adam Zapple, Scizzor Fairy, Saulo Davis, Peter Konrad, DJ Clean Freq, and DA Productions.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the event. For more information, visit their Facebook event page.

So no nudity? So nice the Social Justice Warriors can do it sober, yet feel the state should fund the celebration of private activities.
