Popular kids book removes Vancouver Aquarium page
If you know any kids or hang out in bookstores, you've likely encountered the "Good Night" books. The one most commonly seen in these parts is Good Night Vancouver, in which an unseen narrator, à la Goodnight Moon, says good morning, hello, goodnight, etc., to various city landmarks.
My family happened to receive a copy of Good Night Vancouver a few years ago and another one recently. At first, my only thought was, "Oh good. Now we have a new, less-chewed copy." But something felt different reading the new one: there was a new page, or rather, a page showing kids looking at a beluga whale at the Vancouver Aquarium had been replaced by one depicting the water park at Granville Island.
Whatever the source of the change, it's one that certain activist groups would likely approve of, with the continuing controversy about the aquarium keeping cetaceans in captivity.
Good Night Vancouver was first published in 2010 and is ranked 8,145 in Books on Amazon.ca.

They should also remove the "Goodnight Tankers in English Bay" page too.

Let's remove the "goodnight, schoolchildren" page, because keeping children in factory farms is no good, either.

Yay! Oceans for whales and water parks for children - everyone's a winner.

It has freighters not tankers in English Bay. Small distinction.
But this is not a new change, my copy is years old and has the water park instead of the Aquarium.

My copy is maybe 5 years old and has the petting zoo, no aquarium and no granville island. So not much of a story here I think. I always assumed you paid them and they put you in the book for your city.
