The streets of Vancouver were filled 10,016 runners today for lululemon athletica's annual SeaWheeze half-marathon.

The fastest time was recorded by Calgary's Justin Kurek, who crossed the finish line in 1:12:41.

Nanaimo triathlete Kirsten Sweetland was the fastest woman and fifth overall at 1:19:08.

The route began and ended near Jack Poole Plaza, with runners moving along Cordova and Dunsmuir, through parts of Chinatown, and along Pacific Boulevard and Beach Avenue.

From there, they crossed the Burrard Bridge, then went back downtown and around Stanley Park back to the finish line.

The SeaWheeze half-marathon will be followed by this evening's Sunset Festival at Brockton Oval in Stanley Park.

Lululemon ambassador Alex Mazerolle will lead a mass yoga exercise involving thousands of participants.

This will be followed by musical performances by St. Lucia, Yeasayer, and Bear Mountain.
