PBS's Blank on Blank animates a lost Kurt Cobain interview

The latest segment of PBS Digital Studios' Blank on Blank series—which unearths obscure interviews with cultural icons and animates them—features Kurt Cobain. In an interview taped by British journalist Jon Savage on July 22, 1993, the late Nirvana frontman talks about growing up, discovering punk rock, and living with chronic pain. He also discusses become a husband and father, and the new optimism those things have instilled in him. We all know how that turned out, which lends a poignant irony to Cobain's comments.

The Blank on Blank series is now in its second season, so it has already built up a decent archive of past episodes, which can be found on the project's YouTube channel. Here are a couple more music-related ones.
