Photos: Ce Soir Noir turns CRAB Park into a sea of black
While Dîner en Blanc Vancouver 2015 was brightening up Canada Place, a different sort of picnic was darkening CRAB Park.
Ce Soir Noir brought a friendly crowd of people all dressed in black to the Downtown Eastside waterfront.
Here's how the event was promoted on Facebook: "This is no chic-picnic. It’s actually not fancy whatsoev. It’s also free. We are here to invite you to a democratic gathering in Crab Park on Tuesday, the 25th of August. The task at hand is simple – dress head-to-toe in your blackest clothes, grab some friends, some food and beverages, a big blanket and set yourself down for the evening for peaceful resplendence in one of Vancouver’s finest parks."
Intrepid photographer Andrew Chin brought back these images from the event.

Is this picnic in any way helping or promoting awareness to the needs of the downtown east side? ....
