Millennials’ reigning pop princess is pissed. And the target of her anger is none other than British Columbia.

“Why is the British Columbia government killing our wild wolves?” reads a message Miley Cyrus posted on Instagram yesterday (September 8). That picture had received more than 165,000 likes at the time of writing.

It was followed by three more posts related to the B.C. government’s policy of killing a specific number of wolves each year as a means of population control.

In January 2015, the B.C. Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations announced plans to cull 184 wolves per year for the next five years in the South Selkirk Mountains and the South Peace region. According to a government release, the predators are hunting eight herds of caribou to the point there is a risk they could be wiped out.

Cyrus evidently disagrees with the government’s methods.

A photograph of a wolf and a picture of a caribou was posted with the message, “Don't let squares play the role of the circle of life!”

In another post, the 22-year-old Los Angeles native calls on her more than 28 million followers to support her campaign against B.C.’s wolf cull.

“Never forget how important ALL of you are! It starts with 1.....” she wrote. “But it takes mannnnnny people to make a change! Thank you thank you thank you from me and all the wolves!!!!!”

Cyrus has demonstrated a special affection for animals. She lives with a number of cats, dogs, and a pig, according to a recent story in the New York Times.

"But I am shameless when it comes to making changes in a world that at times needs to reevaluate its morals"
Miley is a sad and pathetic puppet that relies on her handlers lowbrow shock tactics to keep in the news. does anyone over 12 actually take her seriously? - its scary that someone so dumb can be so influential on younger generation. she needs to get off her soapbox and educate herself before jumping on the next random bandwagon cause.
