Burnaby team eliminated before Amazing Race Canada finale in Vancouver and Whistler

Alas, B.C.'s last chance for one of its teams to win the current season of The Amazing Race Canada is no more.

The father-daughter team of Simi and Ope Fagbongbe from Burnaby was eliminated on September 16.

The episode included traveling from Osoyoos, B.C., to Edmonton, Alberta. The Fagbongbes, who are Nigerian immigrants, fell behind when taxis were stolen from them by other teams and when they struggled with the curling challenge.

It's too bad the duo were eliminated just before the competition heads to their home turf: the next (and season finale) episode of the competition will take the three finalist teams to Vancouver and Whistler.

The remaining teams are:

• Brent and Sean (Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia)

• Gino and Jesse (Hamilton, Ontario)

• Nick and Matt (Newmarket and Stouffville, Ontario).

The Season 3 finale will air on CTV on Wednesday, September 23, at 9 p.m.
