Vegan food and animal-rights activism go hand in hand. So, it’s no surprise that Graze (3980 Fraser Street) plans to hold a fundraiser for Liberation B.C. on November 27.

The East Vancouver restaurant has pledged to donate 20 percent of dinner sales between 5 and 10 p.m. to the local animal-rights organization. Diners are being asked to mention “Liberation B.C.” when making a reservation.

Liberation B.C. spreads information about animal exploitation and promotes a vegan lifestyle. It holds weekly vigils on Friday mornings at Commercial Drive and East Hastings Street, near a chicken slaughterhouse.

Graze opened in May. A November 12 fundraiser at Graze raised a reported $410 for Mercy for Animals Canada.

Sad. So terribly sad. So indicative of narrow-minded people with WAY too much time on their hands.

Way to go Graze! Wonderful to see neighbourhood businesses donating money to help the animals. Apologies for bitter and unhappy people in the community like DavidH who seems to have too much time on HIS hands by leaving unkind and useless feedback.

Yep, Dave's a sociopathic idiot, no doubt about that judging by the comment he left.

Liberation BC has a history of harassing people, all for their "cause". Before standing with a bunch of people holding banners, do a little background research first.
