The Vancouver Art Gallery (750 Homer Street) hosts FUSE: Crowd Studies on Friday (November 29) from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Inspired by artist Kimsooja’s work that encourages human interaction, this FUSE event will feature the largest number of artists and performers to date.

Some of this year’s guests include Douglas Coupland, who will join the Vancouver Lego Club to build a lego tower for a crowd-sourced art project; Kimsooja, who will present her performance art work Beggar Woman with 14 local performers and dancers; artist collective Instant Coffee, which will create “anti-social sculptures”; Germaine Koh’s, who will lead an audience through invented games; DB Boyko and the Voice Over Mind Choir, who will perform a participatory choral piece; and Hannah Jickling and Helen Reed, who will bring crowd-surfing to everyday life.

Tickets to FUSE: Crowd Studies are $17 in advance online.
