Charlie Angus is the MP for Timmins-James Bay and the NDP's ethics critic. He also heads up the Grievous Angels, an on-again, off-again alt-roots band.

Just in time for Christmas, Charlie Angus & the Grievous Angels released their music video for “Reactionary Blues”, which features footage of Prime Minister Stephen Harper and disgraced senators Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin.

The song begins: "They’re melting down the ice caps / And they’re raising up the trolls. / Putting shutters on the windows / And burning all their notes / The climate bell is ringing / But they’ve turned it back to snooze."

It's from the band's new album, The Great Divide.
