If you are a transgender person who is planning to vote on October 19, there's a section on the FAQs webpage on the Elections Canada website that answers questions related to transgender issues.
The list of information includes information on what to do if your appearance does not match your photo.
Also, something to note is that you are not required to show ID that includes a sex indicator.
However, if your name does not match on two pieces of ID, you will not be able to vote using those pieces of ID.
There's also an explanation of what to do if you have changed your name.
